I recently purchased this machine for my home shop. I have an operators manual, but no documentation on how to hook up the power. It appears that the wires go directly into a relay. I'm tempted to to just hook up the black, white, and red wires to there counterparts on the opposite side of the relay, but if I could get some help, I would feel a lot better when I hit the breaker for the first time. I bought this machine with an inoperative control, and a simple inspection of the electrical cabinet reveled a few blown fuses, and that sweet smell of fried wiring, so I don't think I could screw it up any worse. If someone has any documentation/wiring diagrams for this machine, I would gladly reimburse for any cost in getting this information. Thanks |

| The machine is an Eagle, it looks like many other Taiwanese knee mill clones. It does have 220 on the cover of the box for the relay. I do have 220 3phs in my shop. There are two things that have me spooked, first most machines I've dealt with usually have some type of wiring diagram/sticker where the power goes in, and second, I've never wired power directly into a relay. Now I am NOT an electrician, and the CNC's where I've worked are large expensive machines, and they would not let a hack like me near one with a screwdriver, so I am out of my element. I'm hoping someone out there has a bit more experience with electrical matters, and and give me a bit of guidance. |
