Question Cummins 7877 mill?

Yee Haw !
The Cummins Industrial Tools truck store is coming to a town near me this weekend.
In their flyer they list a "Mini Milling Machine". There is no information about this machine on their website (or that I can find on the web). Does anyone have any info on this critter? Experienced comments, good or bad, welcomed.

robotic regards,

Tom

Wonder if your near me.

I think the truck sale is heading down to the national guard armory this weekend.

I was considering picking up the mini lathe in their flyer. It appears to just be standard import lathe. I'd guess the same on the mill.

Looks like a HF/Homier mini mill.

My flyer says they'll be at the Morning Club Auditorium in Mullan ID on Sunday from 11 am to 7 pm. I'm in Wallace so will head over that way after church service .

robotic regards,

Tom

If it the same one that I'm thinking about, Harbor Freight, Grizzly, Micro Mart and others sell the same one. They are made by Seig over in China. The only real difference between them all are the spindles. They come in a morse taper or an R8. Having worked in a machine shop years ago, go with the R8 version it's more versital. The price varies from about $400.00 to just over $500.00 depending who you get it from. There is a web site that deals with the mill and it's companion lathe ([url]www.littlemachineshop.com). I hope this helps you out some. I have been to the traveling tool show that Cummins puts on, make sure you get one that is crated up. The display will be beat up and missing pieces.

ive been to several of the mobile tool sellers cummins, homier, etc and am fairlly familir with the shop tools from places such as harbor freight. my experience has been that cunnins generally has higher prices and lower quality than the others. ive seen cracked castings and typically fit and finish is horrible and i just do not trust the tolerances on anything. my last cummins sale was about a month ago. there was nothing there i felt comfortable buying or that couldnt be found cheaper or very similar price somewhere else.
