| I believe I have come across a good deal on a good running mid 80's 2 1/2axis Shizouka Bandit level 4 (8400 Allen Bradley), manual tool changer. He is the original owner and hasn't used it in production, only tool and die work. It comes with a KurtII vice and 20 NMTB#40 holders. He is retiring and selling it. I am planning to go and see it Monday morning. Since I am not familiar with Bandit controllers I am looking for pros and cons for purchasing this machine. Any information would be great. Thanks, teamjnz |

| That's one excellent piece of iron. Box ways, taper 40, higher hp. spindle. One of the most rigid knee mills out there. I used to have a bandit 3. Kind of quirky by today's standards, but you can make good parts. At the first sign of trouble, i ripped it off and put on a PC based control. You should plan on the same. that 20 year old control is not worth repairing. Karl |
