Hello, There's a Gorton 8D for sale near me for $900. The motor has been converted to a 1 hp 1 ph motor, and there's an oiling system added. The seller has a collet adaptor so that you can use tools up to 1" shank. Is this a good deal? I'd like it for general manual machining right now. I've got a CNC Taig I use for mostly aluminum, and a 20 x 20 router for wood. So I'd like this for heavier drilling and steel work. Might CNC it after a while. What do you think? Scott |
