Grizzly G3617

Does anyone have this machine and if so have you retrofit it to CNC? I am looking at this machine with the possible intent of purchasing it and turning it into a CNC machine. I have looked at several machines lately with my mind changing all the time. I want something that I can grow with that will allow me to do some large objects.
I have a limited budget but have resolved to spend my majority on a milling machine and the equipment to turn it into a CNC wonder. I have an extensive background in computers so that part doesn't bother me.

I guess it is the same machine just distributed by others. Though with major problems if you read further.

The G3617 is not longer available from Grizzly. Is anyone aware of another supplier in the US for this machine? Obviously it will not be a 'G3617' and may have different color paint on it. It appears to be a "zx7550cw" before it is changed to the final sellers "model number".
