Hi Guys, I just bought a brand new Vertical CNC mill (Centroid Controller) from Elrod machine tools. I am an engineer who has a pretty good machine shop background. I used to be a tool and die maker and I currently have a machine shop in my garage. However, other than a printed circuit board milling machine, I have not had any experience with CNC. I was looking at buying some CAM software from Vero (Visi series) and wondered if anybody has any experience with it. One advantage is that Elrod has a good post processor written for his machines and I believe it was tailored in Vero's API. If you guys have any other recommendations I would like to hear from you. I'm trying to stay in the $5K price range. Thanks |
