I have been looking for a good mill for a while now.I ran across this 747 locally for about what I would pay for a new sx3. I don't have any experience purchasing a used mill. The head has been taken off to help with moving it. I believe the mill was produced around 1976. The background on it does seem promising, it has been in a house and used for hobby type work for at least 15 years. Any advice on what to inspect to keep from buying a headache would be greatly appreciated. I'm guessing the inspection options are somewhat limited since it is partially disassembled. I also want to say this site is excellent. Thanks for your time. |
