NMBT-40 to Cat-40 conversion??

I recently purchased a Trak DPM 30 knee mill used the dealer I bought it from was supposed to convert it to Cat-40 it was the metric version I think they call it NMBT-40. Apparently they did not try a Cat-40 tool holder in it before sending it out. The machine has a Kurt power draw bar. The draw bar has the correct thread I tried it out of the machine with a tool holder but it is too short and will not pick up the threads when it is in the machine by hand or with the power unit. I will post some pictures.

I have tried the following and it still does not work. I removed 3 spacers from the power unit. I removed a spacer on the draw bar pictured it is still too short.

I see a pin that holds the draw bar together I have tried to drive it out but it seems to be stuck I am afraid it may be threaded but there is not slot for a screw driver or allen head. If anyone knows can this pin be driven out to extend the length of the draw bar?

The dealer is closed for the weekend and I have work I need to get done this weekend. I am hopping someone knows how to solve this issue.

I included a picture of the spindle it looks like it has a spacer also but it is the same or less diameter as the spindle so I don't think it changes anything. Basically the draw bar need to be longer in order to reach the Cat-40 threads.

The spindle quill was completely in the up position I know that will stop the draw bar from engaging the power draw bar unit. You can feel the Cat-40 tool bottoming out in the taper without the threads engaging.

Thanks Mike

The metric equivalent to a cat 40 would be a bt40. Nmtb is a different animal all together. They have the longer tail sticking out and were not designed for pull studs like a ct or bt. I would think it could be made to work, but you would need at least a inch longer draw bar. Nmtb is really a pretty old style.

Update I got the pin driven out but I can't get the shaft to slide apart I will have to make a tube to fit the draw bar shaft. And turn a nut that should separate the two pieces hopefully it is long enough and has another hole to pin and make it longer I am stuck as I need this machine I don't have another to drill anything out to make it work.

Thanks UTT I am not sure what tooling they had for it before but I know it was not Cat-40 he told me that but he said they would convert it for me. Too bad they did not try it after the conversion.
