I have a chance to pickup a millport 3kvh for a song. I have been making google work overtime and i have a few questions. Does this machine weigh 3000# or 2200#? Can parts still be had for rebuilds (1986 is the build year)? Anyone have any links to a parts manual for this model? The X axis screw is not in good working order at all but the head is tight and the ways are not worn at all. The plans over time is to put ballscrews in the X,Y and go NC with it. For now i am looking for a breakdown and go through the x,y and also clean the lube system. This machine looks to be a little bit more robust than the standard bridgeport. Any info would be great.  |
