Lagun manual to CNC help
Hello
I'm new to milling and CNC procedures, I got a Lagun vertical manual machine that I would like it to be electronic CNC.
I'll be milling aluminum molds for wing/fuselage parts. As milling a mold service costs 2k+ that's a lot for me, as they will be prototypes.
I have been looking into drivers and motors, I'm familiar with planetcnc controllers/drivers.

I'm not sure which motor to get that has the power to mill aluminum.
I have read about problems that millers face like backlash and bending, how can I avoid them? Or it's just about the quality of the milling machine? Milling aluminum speed is 0.2mm/s is the best option?
Are Lagun milling machine good?
Should I get arounding bits only with I get cornering ones also?
The order list
Driver 6amps 50v (x3)
Controller 9 axis
Nema 43 1500oz (x3)
1000w power supply
6 limit switches (2 for both axis)

Re: Lagun manual to CNC help
I've got a Lagun FTV2-S with a Prototrak conversion on it. Mine is old but I'm pretty happy with it. Slowly upgrading and improving things on it. The newer ones are a lot smarter than my old MX2e but they still use the same easy to use conversational user interface.
I believe Centroid make a kit as well.
The Lagun mill itself is very good. Mine has been great so far.
Cheers
