Mycenter4x blowing breaker on tool change
I have a 2000 Mycenter 4x w/ 18iM control. Has the tool carousel and the pain in the ass ATC.
It started blowing the #4 breaker when the ATC arm is extended...every 2-3 tool changes or so... It appears the chip conveyor and the hydraulic pump are also on this circuit...
Any ideas? I pulled the cover off the ATC mechanism and all the sensors and wiring appear to be OK.
Someone mentioned changing the hydraulic filter... kind of having a hard time finding that - please tell me it's not in the tank...
Thanks

Daikin or nachi hydraulic unit? It's in the tank more than likely.

Its a Daikin system.
What's odd is that in Maintenance mode the ATC will cycle just fine.. I tried and tried to make it trip but couldn't... This only happens when a tool change is called in auto mode.
I am wondering could it be a sensor short or a solenoid hanging? Seems odd it would be a hydraulic filter - or it would happen all the time right?

Well, the sensors will never be on the same circuit as a hydraulic unit or chip conveyor, as both those run on 208 3 phase, and sensors would all be 24vdc. So a much closer look at the electrical prints would be required to determine exactly what that breaker feeds.

Ahh I found some broken wires buried inside the ATC head. Repaired and hopefully this thing will roll again. Will post update.
