I have a 1986 Kitamura Mycenter 3B with Fanuc 11m controls and a Hoffman 4th axis. The 4th (A axis) is fully programable. We are running a job right now that requires milling a double spiral down the length of some shafts.
When the spirals are finished, the program indexes the 4th back to zero degrees for milling a keyway. The problem is... the 4th axis basically "unwinds" several thousand degrees back to zero. If I program a G28 A0. it still does the same thing.
But when I push reset during the unwinding, then manually zero return the 4th. , it will go to zero immediately when starting the keyway portion of the program. It never used to do the "unwind" thing. Worked like it was supposed to. Is there something in a parameter that has changed?
Thanks for any help
