Price of Spindle Motor

The spindle motor is going on our Mycenter 3XI. A new one costs $10,000 and a refurbished one costs $8500.

What options do I have here? Anything with Fanuc on it is an arm and a leg! Is there another source that will fit? This will be the second spindle motor we have put on it since we bought it new 10 years ago. This is a very expensive machine to keep going.

Can anyone give these guys a recommendation? I have purchasing looking into it this now.

Any future machine buys will be looked at closely, Fanuc is overpriced and I'm not impressed with their reliability. I used to live and die Fanuc, not anymore. They've dinged me way too many times. Sorry guys I get a little pi$$y when my production machines are not producing.

I want my production now, I want it right and I want it fast.

Tennesee Ind. Electronics are very good and usually 1/2 - 1/3 the price of Fanuc, it is refurbished Fanuc

Tennesse Ind. was about half the price a Fanuc direct.
