    Kitamura Back Wash System

Hi. Can anyone describe how the backwash system works and whether it contributes to metalworking fluid foaming?

i cant tell you how the backwash system works, but the major contributors to foaming are, excessive waylube in the coolant, holes in the suction pipes to the pump ( air getting into the coolant when its pumping through the lines) incorrect ph coolant and foriegn material in the coolant such as operators dumping coffee, cleaner, spitting, urinating in tank (and yes i had that problem hard to believe), or anything thats not clean water and coolant concentrate, also filters on coolant tanks clogged not allowing enough coolant in the pump area of the tank causing small vortecies from a low level of coolant in the pump area of the tank which allows air into the system, and sometimes just crappy coolant all together
