Looking at some pics on here I have questions about the spindles.. I am using a Porter Cable 690vslr router but it seem like most of the pics the bit extends farther down from the router than mine do making dust collection system cumbersome. Are people using extenders to drop the bits? |

I made this mod for my router and it has real advantages. You can keep the dust collector's shoe down on the work piece and lower and raise the spindle.Changing the router bits is a lot easier because the shoe is not in the way. I'm going to replace the brush with a longer one. |
