Hi all, I'm considering building a Joe's Hybrid 4x4 machine, and am getting close to ordering his plans. The building part all makes sense to me, but can some one point me where to go to find the info needed to put together gecko drives and power supply and steppers? I'm not asking for someone to explain it, but more or less point me to where something like this is discussed in the Zone. I read through joes's 850 count post on his 4x4 machine and I'm hooked! I barely slept last night....funny how your mind won't turn off. Any help with this is greatly appreciated! Thanks! Last edited by Flyin04; 08-26-2008 at 03:32 PM. |

| http://www.cnczone.com/forums/gecko_drives/ Should give you all the information you need....Dont bother with the cheap drives post..it is a fruitless long post...the drives are available now so just go to Gecko site and order them.... Bob |

Just what I needed, good stuff covered there. I'll read up on the info. I'd rather read up rather than ask a bunch of questions that have all ready been asked. Thank you. |

Thanks for the link on the Joe kit! Gives me a good idea what i'm in for. Is this what most people are using for the joe 4x4? Didn't Joe use the Gecko's? I wonder how much more one would spend going that route if even needed. |
