I ordered Joe's kit last year and just now getting around to actually getting it built. I'm building pretty much stock using all the original parts. This is my first machine and I'm a cherry CNC-er so I'm learning a lot on the way. I just want to thank Joe for the kit. It has been a fun and easy process so far and I'm looking forward to making some dust. X-Axis Torsion box going together. ![]() Gantry bottom torsion box, Y-axis torsion box, Z-axis carriage and router holder assembly. ![]() Another |

| I do have one question.... do the Gantry uprights need to be glued or should they just bolt together? |

Should be here in 3 - 4 weeks. I was planning on tackling the jrog but upon finding the kit for Joes decided to go that way. Good luck on the build and keep posting, one picture is worth a thousand words. I already make dust in my shop (according to the Misses) I just want to make more. ![]() John |

| I hope you do not have cheaper prices than yourself! It was my son Scott that ordered through you, it is a joint project between the two of us. I am looking forward to getting your kit. Thanks! John |

| Great.... I'll glue them and the ends of the x-axis torsion box today. I'm still waiting on a few parts from Enco but I have everything else. I'll take more pictures as I progress. Most of what I've done so far has just been glue & paint work. I'm planning on building a small room for it in my shop to prevent the dust from going everywhere. I was thinking of getting one of those nice cyclone dust collectors from Grizzly with the 2-3 micron bags. I'm going to be cutting a lot of MDF and I don't want the stuff all over the shop. |
