Anybody tried homeshopcnc.com ballscrews on a Joecnc2006?

After pricing McMaster Carr acme screws and dumpster ballnuts and being suprised at the cost I've been looking at www.homeshopcnc.com Nook ballscrews. MMC acme screws are plus or minus .009 per foot, while the Nook ballscrews are plus or minus .001 per foot. For what I see as really not that much money more, you can gain alot more accuracy. Granted the bearing supports and such will probably cost alot more, would this be a worthwhile upgrade? Has anybody done this?

I am not aware of anyone doing it.
For woodworking .009 per foot is plenty of accuracy. You really need only .020 - .030 for wood. Wood will move quite a bit with moisture changes.
Also, realize that you may be off by .009, but the repeatability is good, so you will be of the same .009 each time you pass that point on the screw. The fact that the measurement is 1.009 instead of 1.000 is not as important as the fact that each time you hit the same 1.009
98940A105 is what I used and I think many others as well.

yes, i believe people over think the design, and when you see the results of the machine yes it is way above the accuracy people need for diy, and then some.
