You'll note that at the time of my last post in December, I was doing the 'tedious' job of installing the t-trak and spoilboard. Well in doing that, along with moving junk out of the garage earlier, building the legs, and the lifting of the final assembly, I managed to completely wreck both shoulders and elbows. Now after several months of physical therapy, shots, and maybe a little more common sense, I'm ready to finish up this puppy. My 'rebate' is going to go for the Vectric software - it's my patriotic duty. I'll also probably order 2-starts and dumpster nuts soon to upgrade the singles I have now. But in the meantime I should be able to get this thing finally assembled and running in the next few weeks - watch this space! Gary |

My shoulder problems that I mentioned over a year ago didn't go away without surgery, and while I was at it I had both ankles done too (another chronic problem). Much better now and itching to get that nearly finished Joe's ready to cut. This week I configured a PC to use, and got an identical pc case ready to mount the power supply and controller. The bigger job is getting the clutter in the garage re-arranged so I can even get to the table. Over the last couple of evenings I've gotten most of the heavy lifting done and found an arrangement where I can access most of my tools and the table itself. Just some more cleaning and organizing the small stuff to do. Then, I have to find all of the remaining components of the table and assess exactly what is left to do. It -should- just be a matter of installing the x-axis leadscrew and motor, align everything and wire it up. That shouldn't take long, but there's some other work on the garage that I might get into first: lighting and some new outlets, some insulation and wallboard, shelves, etc. Anyway, watch this space for a new (much delayed) Joe's completion.
