Hey bcrafty thanks, I'm using the 425 in/oz steppers from keling. Seem to work real well.

Zachjowi,

I'm not sure what your refering to. The plans for the router I got from Joe.

Hi Rick! I haven't seen this pictures until tonight while snooping around. That looks great!

Learned a good bit last night, pretty fun!

Hopefully we'll employ our lessons learned and finish the 2nd part soon.

FYI, we're milling the two parts below (top left and the part under it) out of .5 6061 for Rick. Trying to learn a little about milling aluminum on our new machine.

Hey Allan,

Glad to see you found my build. I sure appreciate yours and Mikes help.

Here is my current Anti backlash setup. I'm using 1/2 8, 2 start lead screw and just tapped the blocks instead of using the acme nuts inserted in the plastic blocks. What I did was to put two springs over the 1/4 20 screw and this has made a big difference in my cuts. I also redid my dust collector and made new slotted brackets so I can move the base up or down according to what bit I am using. Here are some pictures.

Rick
