Question want list of required electronics

Novice question. I have been looking at the posts for building the Joes 2006 machine and there is so much info out there. My problem is that it is hard to find some basic info that i want.

Is there a link to a list that will tell me what electronics i will need to buy to make the machine?

Maybe there is a page that will show a basic package and an upgraded package of electronics and what the diffecence is in performance.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

A basic package would be the $275 package here, plus a 34V power supply. I believe that all you need for the power supply is a transformer, which is linked on the page. Everything else is included.

A much better package would be this one:
CNC Stepper Motor Kit: , Stepper Motor, Servo Motor, Power Supply Automation Technology Inc

You can expect up to double the performance with this kit. But be aware that the choice of leadscrews can have a big effect on performance.

    I used a 3-axis package from CNCRouterParts.

    CNCRouterParts

It is pretty much plug and play with this kit. The only other things you need is a computer, printer cord, extension cord, and a few feet of wire.

My problem is Ebay. There are options. I just bought a linear slide... because the price seemed right...ug. impulse. I am building one piece at a time and making it up as I go. Youtube is evil because it makes everything look so easy. "a couple old printers and a cd tray made this cnc plotter router that also does laser cutting..." easy and here is the video to prove it.
