Touch Sensor Z Axis?

Hi Guys,

Is there a touch sensor that I can put between my bit and the Corian Im carving in too. Ive been using a feeler gauge and have been going back-n-forth as I lower the Z-axis, somewhat time consuming.

Something mechanical, not interested in hooking it up to a computer.

There are LED and dial gauge types of zero setters available. You just lower the Z axis at a slow rate until the LED lights up or the dial just starts to move. The link above shows both styles.

I know you didn't want to do anything with electronics - but if you see how easy it is to do this - and how well it works (not to mention inexpensive)...
