I've been lurking here for a while and am just getting ready to start my first JGRO router. I am on a tight budget and already have some parts lying around I'd like to use. I noticed in the plans it calls for 8x22 mm bearings, I have some 12x28 bearings and was wondering if it would be okay to use these without changing any of the other dimensions? I would like to stay as close to the plans as possible being how this will be my first build. Thanks |

| Not positive, but I think you'd have to change quite a few things to use larger bearings, since the location of the angle they mount to would be further offset from the pipe. You may be able to just change the bearing location and make it work, but I don't know, as I've never looked at the plans.

| You can get cheap bearings from www.vxb.com The cost of new bearings will be minimal when compared to the overall cost of a running machine.
