So, I'm new to the world of CNC and of most woodworking projects and I need help understanding the designs. I'm currently reading through the JGRO designs, and I was wondering if someone could explain the notation used to me. If someone could decipher the attached photo, it would be most appreciated. Many thanks |

| Use a #7 drill (.201 diameter) to drill a through hole. Then tap the hole .507 deep with a 1/4-20 tap. There are 4 of these tapped holes, the print should show you where they go!

A word or two of advice. Before you drill and tap all those holes in the MDF yoy might consider doing a dry fit to see how everything goes together and then maybe consider a different way to attach pieces. MDF has a curious tendency to split at very inopportune (SP?) times and can ruin several hours worth of work in a moments disaster. If you do decide to tap the MDF anyway; Step 1 mark. Step 2 drill. Step 3 tap. Step 4 soak with superglue. Step 5 allow time to dry. Step 6 Retap. Maybe others can add suppliments. Tom |
