epoxy or friction fit flange bearings?

For those who used flange bearings similar to those shown in jgro's plans, are you typically epoxying them into the appropriate locations, or do they hold fine with a friction fit?

I think friction fit should work. I didn't use flange bearings, but made round pockets for skate bearings at each end of the lead screws (I used 8mm threaded rod for a lead screw). I didn't use epoxy, the bearings are held in place by the nuts on the end of the lead screws. I used double nuts at each end.

In JGRO's original plan I think there is just one bearing per lead screw. I would use one at either end: like in the Joe 2006 design. This lets you apply more tension to the lead screw, to stop it whipping about.
