What bearings do you recommend?

Hey all, I am starting a JGRO build of my own. If I am using 1/2-10 single start Acme, what size end bearings do you recommend? (I assume 1/2 ID, but not sure on the OD or thickness) If you have a VXB part # even better! Thanks!

Sorry if this was a dumb question, with 60 views and no responses, it must have been! Just trying to make sure I order the right end support bearings, since the plans and parts list call for 1/4 acme and bearings and I upped it to 1/2-10 acme. I'm still not 100% sure which ones to order.

I did make headway on my build yesterday and got all of the MDF cut and organized. I should start drilling and assembly next thursday. I'll post some photos of my progress.

You can look at my build under broken balsa as I think there are pictures of this there. I use flange bearings on the x and y axis. They will thread right on the acme screw. I couldn't use a flange bearing on the z as there is not enough room for it between the pipe guides. I made on using acme nuts and some derlin at the bottom of the screw. Works very well. I jammed two nuts together and those sit on a metal washer which sits n the derlin. Need more reply on my thread...Ron BB

This is where I bought mine but you can purchase them at any farm implament store. They are common and used in many applications.
