Since you are using Inkscape to make your drawings, try using PartKAM to make your gcode. I found it to works much easier. https://launchpad.net/partkam

    Problem with PartKAM

When I load in my inkscape svg file it gets scaled by some amount. I didn't find this out until after I cut my block . But it was a test cut for just this sort of reason and the machine didn't run into anything.

Any ideas on why this happens? I attached the svg file for anyone to do what they will with. I drew it in Inskcape. I renamed it .txt so it would upload. Rename back to .svg and it should work for anyone who wants to play around.

But I liked PartKAM more than the Inkscape tools.

I didn't download the file, but I think I know what the problem is. In PartKam you need to go under edit/edit preferences and change the SVG Import Value to 90. You have to do this every time you start PartKam since it doesn't save any preferences when you exit. This should scale everything properly.
