Devin,

I used a Pittsburg 2 part urethane paint on my enclosure. This can be applied to metal, fiberglass and wood (with a good primer). You must wear a respirator when applying this. It will dry in about three hours. This is an extremely tough, durable paint. Acetone won't touch this stuff when dry.

I would think the good 2-part epoxy (not water-based) garage floor coatings would work very well, and they're available at any home center, and most hardware/paint stores.

"Many years ago, machine tools were coated with lacquer or enamel-type paints that were susceptible to attack by certain chemicals used in cutting fluids. Most machine tool manufacturers now use the more resistant acrylic, epoxy, and polyurethane coating."

Just curious - what about lining the inside with Rhino Lining (http://www.rhinolinings.com/) or is that you were referring to when you mentioned "truck lining"?

I'm speaking of the imitation "rhino liner" that I can buy from the auto parts store, in a spray can.

I was thinking of that when I mentioned it. It seems there are different types ranging from spongy (perhaps for the outside) to harder and hopefully less able to trap chips (perhaps for the inside). I'll have to find a dealer for this stuff and compare samples.
