    moving an ih mill

Guys its been a while since I have posted. I would like to ask how you would go about moving an assembled mill into a new shop? I am trying to move a 10" collar IH mill about 40 miles. The mill is assembled and servos are on bracket. I can get a pick up to move it but I have no idea how to get it off of the stand, out of the shop, on to the truck, off the truck at the new shop. THe new shop has a 12' high x16' wide door so then it is just a matter of getting it off the truck, moved around the shop and back on the stand and leveled. Any help would be appreciated.

Doable with an engine hoist if you rig it very carefully?

I read somewhere you can lower the head all the way down and get a strap around it and the center of gravity isn't too bad.

Wouldn't try it without calling the IH guys first and asking though.

    Best,

    BW
