Hello Newbie member, so I hope I am posting in the right area. I am in the UK and need to get a new lathe to convert to CNC. I was looking at a lathe about the size of a Myford Super 7, single phase, and preferably of a type that somebody on the forum has converted and give me guidence on the convertion. I have previously converted a Taig Mill - But that is my only experience. Anybody help a hobbiest? Cheers |

| Check the magazine "Home Shop Machinist". There are a number of hobby lathes listed there that already are or can be CNC retrofitted. On particulartly popular lathe is the Sherline although I don't know if it will be adequate in size for you. |

| Many Thanks for the reply It seems that I can apply for back issues on the Atlas lathe conversion, but I dont know this lathe, or its availability in the UK. Sherline is a little small for my needs, any other suggestions? |
