    New Mill

I just received my new mill from IH. Looks great, I'm running it manually. I opted for the three phase motor and vfd. Here's my Question.
After run in IH sugests changing out the oil to match speed range I will be running in the 500-2500 range, which calls for Mobil DTE light.
The only place I could find this oil Will only sell it in a 5 gal bucket.
I don't know how much is required at each change but this seems a little much. has anyone seen this oil in smaller quanties? Thanks.

If Mobil makes it in 1 quart containers, you should be able to order it from your local guy.
On all equipment there are 2 levers...
    Lever "A", and Lever F'in "B"

Mcmaster-Carr sells Mobil DTE 24, 25, and 26 grades in 1-gal quantities for around $17 each.

Enco also sells it and you can get free shipping by searching for this month's code.

    Testing Mobil One

Glad you like your IH Mill. We have been testing Mobil One 20-50 Racing Oil. It is the same oil that we run in our race cars. 8000 to 8700 rpm all night. We have a new mill running it after a 25 hour break in. We now have about 100 hours on this mill and the only thing we noticed is how quiet it has become. The new mills are inherently quiet so this is just a plus.
