Current IH Wiring Diagram

When Aaron ran IH he had a pretty no nonsense opinion on the use of breakout boards. Has this changed with the new owner? Do their turnkey systems include a breakout board and if so which one? Or are they direct wiring them as Aaron did? Also, if a breakout board is not used what are they using for VFD control?

Thanks

You should just give them a call to find out for sure, I talked to them bout a month ago and as of then they use a spindle control board, and a winford board that supplies a plug for p cable and wire connection points. I recall mention of military wiring up till the winford board was found. I bought two for my use, they are neet. I may have this wrong so just give them a call.

It would be cool if they could answer the question here so everyone can hear it. They got the forum named IH support forum so they might as well use it. Thanks, Dave

Well, If I could recall better I'd post it ! I believe for the most part it is wired as Aaron did it in "military wiring specs". They do use a spindle control board and I believe they have a new one in the works. They also are using a winford board, with a plug to connect p-cable without cutting off end and stripping wires, to which you have screw clamping wire connection points, that can be jumpered or must be jumpered and other points can be wired up for whatever purpose as the board does not have a pre-set connection & you get to do it per needs & desires. Here are my two, not used yet !

Gene and Tommy did neither. I know that sounds strange and as one of the few people who have seen the new box, the statement is true. There is no breakout board as commonly used. Aaron's sage advice and experience has held true.
Box does have many of the elements normally found in a breakout board.
System has proven stable in operation for mach 3, previously only Mach 2 was supported. With VFD motor has a fully adjustable speed range between 10 and 3800 rpm.
Electronics' box is a thing of beauty, something I never thought I would say about 120 lbs of power supplies, electronics’ and an enclosure. From what I heard, Aaron gave an enthusiastic stamp of approval on both design and execution of the electronics’ box.
Turn Key mill is not just an assembled IH Hobby CNC kit. There have been upgrades and additions that were not practical in a Hobby kit. I think I will let Gene or Tommy explain those changes at a later date.
Hopefully I can get Gene to send over pictures for posting here in the next week. I'll put them up when I get them on this thread.
