    Can't find the photograph.

Hi People, Am sorry but I also cannot find the attachment to comment on it's provenence.
Perhaps you could check that you actually did attach it to your post and if so, maybe you could post a quick couple of lines on how to access it please.
    With kind regards,

Looks like a ZAY 7035(??) type mill drill with a DRO on it. Hard to say but I would say it has a DC varispeed motor by the looks of the front controls on the head.
I know SFA about CNC'ing mills but should be the same as any of the other RF45 type mill drills.

BTW I just had another look at the pic and thought there was something weird about the machine. The table is extremely small. Looks like it has been replaced or cut down. The table if standard should be @ 800mm wide by 230mm deep. It looks like it is only 500mm wide.

I do not think so. It is only an impression because of two vices on it. If you enlarge the pic in a Paint programm you will see that it is 800mm in length.

Looks like a Chinese made Rong Fu clone

    Hi James,

The machine looks like a ZX7045 or ZAY7045FG, both Rong Fu lookalikes. I have owned a CNC converted Rong Fu and worked with non-converted ZX7045.

I think they are suited for CNC conversion, and i know a guy thats sells a model very similar to the one in your picture very with ballscrews allready fitted for around 1600 UK pounds.

    Greetz,

    Markus

    Strange Mill

This section is for INDUSTRIAL HOBBIES MILLS. The mill pictured is NOT one of the two models of Industrial Hobbies Mills. They are the 10 which is the old one and the 12Z which is the new one. The table size in the picture looks very SMALL. Table size on the IH mill is 39.5 x 9.375 inches. In metric it is more than 1000 x 235 cm . Work envelope is 30 x 12 inches. Weight is 950 pounds or 430 KG. The head mounting on the current mill is round.
The more you know teaches you don't know alot
