    newbie question on cnc mill

    Hi Guys,
I am new to this group and I am a bit overwhelmed by all the different forums so perpaps this is not the right forum for my question. I just acquired a Harbour freight mill/drill 1-1/2 HP mill. I would like to convert it to CNC. Can someone direct me to some links to other members to have a simialar mill and have done the conversion (I did a search and did not find any)? I would like directions as to what kind and size of motors. Basically I am new to CNC although I have use a mill a bit in college. Can anyone give me links to good threads on how to even get started?

    Thanks,
    rene

Check in the bench-top mill section, there are a bunch of people with these mills and they have posted a ton of info on the conversion.
