Swing on the IH mill? Does anyone know the distance from the center of the spindle to the vertical column, ie, the swing, on the IH mill? I am trying to figure out how large a rotary table can be mounted on the mill. Roy

Roy If you like I'll measure it tonight. Maybe somebody else will chime in. Randy

I measured 9.75" from the center of the spindle to the front edge of the bellows on the column, so you should be able to fit a pretty good sized rotary table on the table. -Matt

Many thanks! Yes, that is a lot of room. More than I immagined! I'll be able to mount a 10" table with room to spare. Thanksvery much --Roy

I have an 8" Phase II table. I got to tell you it is heavy enough. I wouldn't want any bigger just for the man handling part of it. Make sure you need/want a 10" table. Chris

Yes, the 10" table is a "gut buster" but I need the 10" diameter for cutting some reall big brass gears. I just bought an engine crane from Grizly to help move stuff around the shop. (Like getting the IHmill onto its table when it arrives!) Roy
