I am doing the same thing
if you go to rockford ballscrews website you will see differnt options on mounting them
I plan on using a modified version of one of them
if this does not help I can take measurements for you
I don't have drawings yet
Hi everyone. New to the forum. Got my IH mill a few weeks ago... Very cool. I am in the process of doing a cnc conversion on it. I cant quiet afford the cost of the factory unit so im doing it on my own. I was wondering if anyone had drawings they have made of the lead screw nuts for X Y Z and the lead screw end supports. I would like to build them before i tear this mill down... because i need the maching to build some of the parts.
Thanks
dj

I would hope that anybody that has bought a turnkey cnc mill or kit from IH will not post that info for others to copy.
Thanks... I really just need the drawings and measurements on the leadscrew nut mounts and the end plate. This way i can design my own supports and build them on my cnc's at work. I plan on using a double ball nut on my lead screw. one on each side of the nut mount. I can put set screw into the threaded area and make my own preload. I can also install an oiler right into the mount assembly to keep it running smooth. I just really hesitate to pull this mill apart till i have all the conversion parts put together.
