My good friend is working for a contractor in iraq as civilian support for the troops. I built the Jerry James inline 4 cylinder and sent the photos of the progress. Then I designed and built a Cox based 9 cylinder radial and sent those pictures over there. Now i have 15 or so guys sitting in the desert, bored out of there minds, hoping there will be more photo's. What i am looking for is maybe a simple, single cylinder, briggs/stratton type engine in 1/4 scale. Maybe an inline 2 cylinder at the most. Something that i can make a part every day or two. Anybody know of an engine that would fit the bill. Gives these guys something to look forward to. All they have to do is work and sleep. Casting based engines are out. I'm not good enough at reading the drawings and making the parts so sometimes parts take more than one try. Any ideas!!! |
