V-Twin Update 3-4-07

A little more progress on the motor today. Most of the carbs are complete with air filters. Fuel cup and positive crankcase ventilation standoff are complete. Next project will be the fans for the cooling system. Then the ignition system and maybe I’ll be hearing it run in the next few weeks. I’m having a problem locating some .125OD brass tubing for a bunch of fitting I need to make. Check all around Toledo but can’t seem to find any at the hobby shops. I hate to think that I may need to drill out some .125 brass rod to make the tubes.

Here are a few pictures of the sub assembly.

Jeff

Jeff,
looks really sweet,

What are some of the specs?

Hard to get an idea on the size without some perspective.

Jeff,
Nice work. I like seeing a nice piece of machining. I have not built any engines from scratch but just modifiying all types for model aircraft. Mostly gas powered now.
Have you tried the K&S rack for your 1/8" tubing? It is a normal piece of brass for model aircraft fuel tanks. If they do not have it you can do a search for K&S on the web. They have a package that they also sell that is cutoffs and I have had one for quite a few years. All different sizes and wall thickness. Good value for a hobbiest.
