Schoenrock:

It is fun to see a new engine to be born and i hope i will soon see my own engine breath.

I also have thought about using carbon/graphite composites for my project.
So i wonder what your thoughts about using graphite and what is your experience with the material?

Is it easy to damage compared to say, aluminium or iron?
Like if you accidently dropped it, would it shatter for an example?
But i really want to know the cost for your material, ive emailed some companies but they dont reply...

Hello, Weekend is over, and I´m back again!

Dear NC Cams, many many thanks for the Megasquirt tip. Some time ago I googleed hardly for an affordable engine management system. But I must have used the wrong keywords. I only found Bosch.... and the Walbro Bi-Race, but this one also costs a lot.
I was really surprised about a German forum referring the Megasquirt. I am very lucky to find some engine freaks in Germany too.
By now I posted the same Information about the RotaTorque-engine in 6 different German forums, but the feedback is quite small. These are all automotive forums and I think the members are only interested if the new BMW will come in a new kind of blue or something like this.

For Eson and Kipper here is the link to the German graphite producer http://www.sglcarbon.com/index.html
It is a really big company that produces every kind of graphite products.
My pity is that this company does not make products for enduseage.
I cannot tell you prices, because I have to pay a fixed amount of money for each prototype. They have special machine with Diamond cutters to form graphite and I only have to find someone who builds the metal parts.

I collected several ideas and solutions referring the possible leakage problem of the RotaTorque and I think about starting an new thread only for this field. I wish to discuss some details before building the new Prototype.
What du you think?

Markus

I think the engine is cool and it should be explored. See what u can do with it. Intresting concept and if you work out the weakness'es it could turn out a very powerful engine! It has the potenital to anyways.

The RotaTorque Page now available in english

Hello from Germany,

I am glad to introduce my new english translation on www.rotatorque.com.
Quit using the terrible online translaters. I hope my english version is more understandable.

Many thanks to all interested people. By now, over 20000 pageviews were counted - I´m really pleased.

Markus
