| The rotors are designed and ready to be machined but until we get a housing finished and a CNC free to cut the fixtures for both, the rotors are just sitting on hold. its really frustrating to not be able to do anything :/, the main problem i have is that our shop is and has always been geared around full production which means all our machines regularly have jobs coming and going out of the shop so we constantly change out fixtures on the machines and the only time i have to do pattern work is when one is free. we use to outsource our tooling to local pattern and mold makers, like my Uncle in my blower housing video, but since i have learned pattern making and with the start of our own production line, our CNC shop is now slowly progression to having dedicated machines for tool/fixture making and dedicated machines for full on production, its just a really slow process, but once its done we should be able to go from design to full productions extremely quick and our product base should take off. We did however just buy another brother TC-32 CNC and it should be in soon, we will be switching up some jobs to run on it so that should free up one of our other brothers for light tooling/fixture work and billet prototyping.(aka rotors ).I believe our 6 pallet machine is free for now though, as soon as i get some work done im going to try and mount up the housing i was machining a week or so ago and try and finish the faces, then we just need to get the boring bars in and the housing will be complete. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- here is a picture of what the housing looks like for now and the 1/2 and 1/4 scale next to it. ![]() --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- and here is the progress on my 3D printer, i can interface with it through my computer fine, i just need to get the X axis working and get the heated bed to operate correctly, then i just have to calibrate its printing and it should be ready to go. ![]() |

![]() Very interested on hearing more about your powder coating system and prices. Will you be setup to handle all prep and heavy parts like rear end assembles? I run into some projects quite often that need it. Actually have a 65 Dodge wagon coming in that will need front frame clip and suspension done. Any chance we will see any 3D printer kits? |

As for kits, you probably wont see us selling them anytime soon, not our field of work, their are people out that that dedicate themselves to building and improving these printers though. As for the powder coating, i can't really tell you much, we have been talking about it but don't want to tell anyone anything that we will or wont be doing until we actually have the system up and running. We will be able to coat full car frames though, so a rear end wont be a problem. |

| Little off topic again, but can cast iron like a lathe bed be powdercoated? I'm pretty sure temp won't hurt it just wondered if it would hold up under coolant and stick well to cast iron. Is it possible be protect bed ways from any caustic cleaning solution? You can see more of it using link in my sig. Just saw you job posting....I can almost run Mach3 if you need my help.
