Looking for Forest Edwards Twin plans | | The Engine Museum has a Forest Edwards Twin Cylinder Supercharged Opposed engine in their collection. It was on display at Sky Harbor Airport Terminal 4 in Phoenix. There was a small handout that has a picture of the engine and this description:
"To maximize the horsepower, Forest Edwards equipped his twin-cylinder engine with his own custom-engineered supercharger, a device for raising the pressure in an internal combustion engine. This one-of-a-kind prototype runs on unleaded gasoline with spark ignition and a wet sump lubrication system. With its 1 3/4-inch bore and 1 1/4-inch stroke, the supercharged twin produces approximately 15 horsepower at 7500 revolutions per minute using a 24-16 propeller."
Does anybody know how to contact Mr. Edwards or know if he has any plans available for this engine? I've searched the internet high and low, and while I have the plans for his radial engine, this twin is the one I'd love to build. I wish I could post the photo, this is an engine that will literally make your mouth water.
Sadly, the Engine Museum website appears to be a little neglected, and they don't have most of their engines even pictured on the site. It seems to be a place to link to the Strictly I.C. site, and not much else.
Does anybody have any information that will help?
