The Soule engine works from a stationary center point and most of the force is directed to the center of the engine. It cannot compete with the crankshaft engine for producing torque. I am using the Front of the Mazda engine including the front of the eccentric shaft to position the rotor, to time the engine, and to operate the oil pumps. The rear of the front rotor is modified to accept the shaft described earlier. The mechanism works in the space formerly occupied by the rear rotor and the back portion of the e-shaft. Ken

Mark I wrote Mazda back in 1978 giving them particulars on the Starapex rotary piston engine and they were and still are incapable of understanding a superior engine design. Wankel basically put his name to another persons design. Wankel and his followers NSU, Curtis Wright, Mazda etc have failed to understand the basic principles that are incorporated in the design. I have pictures as to what I am doing on www.starapex.com Ken

Mark There is no thought pattern. WE are doing R&D in unknown directions. We started by making various Starapex engines. We made crank wheel engine designs and prototypes. We designed a machine for cutting the Wankel housing. We were impressed by the true circles the DKM engine turned in. We discovered a modification to the DKM design that would allow it to complete three power strokes every housing revolution. This we believed would work in conjunction with the DKM engine. We found that the DKM engine is a poor design as it runs backwards as all the motion is forwards.. We worked for a short period on the DKM Modification when we realized that getting a direct link from the rotor to the driveshaft would accomplish the power output we were looking for. I have four vintage RX-7 first generation vehicles and will put them into use to test the results. I have a machine that makes a precision finish for the Mazda housing. And plan to re manufacture Mazda engines with superior results to their new condition. I have also designed a automatic system for precision cutting the housing of the Starapex engine and will get to that shortly. The separation of the strokes and internal leverages make the Starapex engine is far superior to the Wankel design for automotive purposes. www.starapex.com is a vehicle for me to post information about my progress and duds. There is at this time nothing to sell so therefore there is no direction or plan. Cheers Ken
