It's been a long time, but...

If your machine has a tape reader, there should be a System No. thumbwheel switch in the tape reader compartment. Set it to "1" to change parameters. If your machine doesn't have a tape reader, you'll have to use setting #6219.

#6219 is a setting, not a parameter, so you need to be in SET not PRM to change it. Normally it's set to "0", but to change parameters, you need to change it to a "1".

    MDI - SET - 6219 - Cursor down - 1 - WRITE.

Now change parameter #6618 (write down the old value before changing... just in case).

PRM - 6618 - Cursor down - key in new value - WRITE

If you need to change one of the "bit" parameters, after the Cursor down, press INSRT. The cursor should move to the 7th bit. Cursor down to highlight the bit you want to change. Press WRITE to toggle the bit. Press INSRT to get the cursor back into the left column.

Go back to SET and change #6219 back to 0, or set the thumbwheel switch back to 0.

But don't quote me on this.

Many thanks, it was my confusion over setting 6219 and parameter 6219 that had thrown me off
