    Question CAM software help--

    Hello everyone,

We are purchasing a SKT250SY from Hyundai/Kia, and we have been recomended 3 different CAM softwares, to work with.

I was wondering if anyone is using CAM software to program your Hyundai machine, and if so, which one and what kind of issues have you run into.

We were recommended the top 3, MasterCAM, GibbsCAM, and EdgeCAM.

    Thank you for your input.

    Steve

Call the sale department and setup the demo and see it yourself, they'are all great. Most trouble I found in any cad/cam is find the nice good post processor for your the machine you have in house. As far as Cad, I would say it's is about the same just that everyone has their own reference/opion ways to do thing. So it doesn't mean one recommend this software and the other one is not for you...... have a demo and take a look.

Some thing to watch for is
    1. What is the mantaince fee/year?
    2. Post processor libarary for your machine?
    3. How good is there support team?
The best way to learn is trial error.

I have used surfcam for years for milling, but their lathe package sucks. I am using OneCnc now and love it.
