    Question T100M rack removal?

Has anyone removed the rack on their T100M torch before? I need to remove ours to make room for a laser attachment. It looks soldered on. Would it be easier to buy a new tube?

    Any help is appreciated!

It comes off pretty easily with a little force...bending and prying.....Our newer torch designs (Powermax45) use screws to hold the rack gear on the torch body...for those that do not use it.

Should I take the torch apart to do this? Will the torch tube hold it's shape (no bending or warping while I am bending and prying)?

I don't want to toast it!!!

    Thanks Jim

I would take it apart....put it in a vise. I believe the rack is silver soldered in a few spots.
