If you are looking for a Powermax85

Disclaimer: This is not intended as spam, if a mod feels that it is spam, then I apologize and understand if it gets removed.

I work for bakersgas.com, and a customer recently returned two unopened powermax85's (25' Hand Torch) to us.

My manager wants them gone ASAP and they are priced as such. I have taken $200 off of the sale price of $2990.00, so they are now $2790 with free shipping. This pricing is only good till the two machines are gone.

I feel that this is an awesome value for whoever jumps at it. I know that as soon as they are gone the pricing will be going back to $2990, which is a very competitive price to begin with.

Hypertherm Powermax 85 Hand System - 25 ft Lead - Baker's Gas & Welding Supplies

Call me (Jeremy) direct at: 419.335.2220 if you have any questions.

Mention you found it on CNC Zone and I'll throw in a free 5 pack of 85A Nozzles.

Any chance you'd consider switching out the hand torch for a machine torch and keep with the $200 off deal (I realize the price will be higher)? If so, I'm all in!

    A customer RETURNED a P-max 85... better yet.. TWO!?!

Obviously they were unopened.. if he had actually opened and used one, you'd have had to pry them from his cold, dead, hands!

Thats a great deal. Hypertherm's suggested list price on a Powermax85 with a 25' hand torch is $3890.00 (U.S.). Best bet is to buy it as is...then purchase the machine torch separately. The 85 has a quick change torch that makes these units perfect for use with cnc machines, and a 30 second switch to hand cutting.

This unit does not have the CPC interface plug on the rear panel, but there is a part number that can be ordered for the interface kit for cnc machine cutting with the machine torch.

Due to unprecedented demand..the Powermax85 has an approximately 3 week lead time from the factory. We have added dozens of additional production associates on this line, and an additional shift to keep up with demand....eventually we will work the lead time back to 1 or 2 days.

    Best regards, Jim Colt Hypertherm

I can't swap out the torches, but like Jim Colt said, you can purchase a machine torch separately. Current sale price on our site is $712, which is marked down from $760 for a 25' machine torch. If you purchase the Powermax85 Hand system I can get you a torch for $630.

I'll love it better when it's cutting metal! Thanks for all of the help so far BB! And thanks to you, Jeremy, for answering all of my questions on the plasma cutter. Hoping to get the electrical over to the Hypertherm this week......and get a bunch of stuff sorted out like getting the TCH card hooked up and SheetCam and Mach set up so I can run this thing!

    Powermax 85 Australian Compatability

    Dear Jim,

Are the Powermax units sold in USA able to be used in Australia as is or are the units exported to Oz somehow different?

Given the favourable exchange rate, shipping from the US could be an option.

    Best wishes,

    Richard

The units that Hypertherm exports to its Australian dealers are CE tick certified units....they are different to meet the electical safety certification in that region. Dealers from the US are not authorized to export the CSA certified units that are used in North America.

If you do convince a US dealer to supply a non-CE system to your region...likely the local dealers will not be interested in providing warranty coverage or service in the event that it is required.

The actual list prices (based on US dollars) of the units sold in Australia is lower than the list price of the US units......whey they are priced so much higher....I'm not sure.
