I received my new Powermax 85 and machine torch on Monday, but I'm having a few issues. My table isn't finished quite yet, so therefore it's still in the box taunting and antagonizing me. I'm a bit surprised that it sits there with such an attitude, and that Hypertherm would allow it to leave the factory without better manners. I'd expect a bit more sensitivity and understanding of a persons time restraints from such a machine. A few times, I've even caught it sticking it's tongue out at me when my back is turned. ![]() Is there anything I can do? Perhaps move it out of sight until it can be more considerate of peoples feelings? This is unacceptable behavior. I realize it is bursting with energy and needs to get out there and run, but for now, I need it to just sit there and be quiet.

I know what you mean my new 65 was doing the same rhing so I set it inthe corner and turned the empty box upside down over it. That will teach them a leason, I know what you mean about getting of task, but one has to pay the bills. Maybe tomorow. Mike

Plug the damn thing in....then let it watch as you complete the table. Nothing like having all that juice and not being able use it, maybe that'll teach it some manners....Heck, might even teach it to sit up and beg...

My 85 sat in the box, unopened for about 3-4 months in my shop. I finally installed it a few weeks ago, but have had little time to use it yet. The Powermax45 that I replaced with the 85 is sure looking dejected though! I'm planning to do a bit of cutting today.....temperature is going to hit 60 degrees F here in New Hampshire! Jim
