glas flow tube for HD3070 gas console spareparts

Hello to all!
just a question if someone of you can helpme.
I'm tring to find, if exist, an alternative to the glass flow tube of my gas console of HD3070 hyperterm.
I mean , they break often an the original sparparts costs a lot.
Do you knos if there is some producer of this flow tube that is cheaper, or maybe does exist a plastic version or othersolution ...i don't know but i can stand no more buyng new tubes!!

I am not aware of any alternative. That flow tube is a 2% accuracy precision flow measuring device. It should not ever break unless something hits it! If it is installed incorrectly it could break....there is a small plastic x piece that is supposed to be installed in the top of the tube....this is a cushion that keeps the tungsten float ball from slamming the glass tube under high gas pressure conditions. I would suggest you contact Hypertherm's tech service to resolve the breakage issue.

thank you for your quick answer!
Anyway i have already installed the cushion washer (that is put, outside, at the top of tube)that was in a specific kit , with all the assembling instructions.
The problem occours when we shut off the machine and we make the remaining gas go out then the ball inside fall down and the tube break at the bottom.
Of course it doesn't happen everytime but it is the second time in 4 months
(consider that we are using the plasma, bought second hand ten year old, since one year and not wery often).
One guys suggested me to put a pen spring inside the tube to have the ball's falls cushioned alittle bit.
what you think could it work..or ayt least will this have no bad conseguences....?
