| Yes that is the right part number for the machine torch using fine cut. If you have the fine cut "kit" you might have an extra swirly for the hand held, it has less porting on the exit side if I remember correctly. WSS Here is a link to some 1250 settings: http://files.me.com/izonltd/h6tpy2 It is a 5mb printable pdf |

| John, WSS is correct on the part number. The manual is a bit confusing as it lists another part number for the FineCut swirl ring.....however that number shoulkd only be used for hand cutting applications. I also recomend the use of the 220404 deflector for all mechanized FineCut applications...this deflector extends slightly past the nozzle, which helps to eliminate nozzle arcing to the plate. Best regards, Jim Colt |

| Yes, the 404 deflector acts as a double insulator, sort of like the shields used on the 40 amp and higher consumables, which minimizes double arcing in the event that the front of the torch touches the plate while cutting. The life of the FineCut consumables is typically shorter than our regular shielded consumables...as the design of the nozzle has higher energy density which imparts a higher temperature on the nozzle orifice.
