| If anyone could please help me, I would be very greatful. I just received (traded) and received a Hypertherm powermax1250 last night. I haven't even fired it up yet. Please let me start by saying that I am pretty new to all of this and hope that I am doing this correctly. Being retired I like to play around on various projects in my shop. My new (used) 1250 came with a T80M (25 ft.) torch lead, which is useless to me. It appears to be in very good condition from what I can see. Can anyone tell me if there is a market for such an item? Also, I was hoping to sell (or trade) this for a T80 hand held torch lead, as I have no need for the T80M. Also, can anyone tell what would be the best (general purpose) consumables to buy for a T80 which I would most likey use on mid steel ranging from 1/8 to 3/4 inch mild steel? Should I use a shield or unshield, as I am unsure as to what the difference is? PLEASE, I need some help and useful advise, as I am only a weekend warrior and do not weld or have done metal welding or cutting for a living. Being retired I can not afford to experiment due to an fixed income. Hopefully, there may be a place where I may be able to find a used T80 torch lead, or possibly trade someone for a good used T80M for T80. Any and all advice and help is greatly appreciated, as I really need some help! Thank you!!! My email is 3855@gmx.com, and I will also check back to this forum for answers, again, thanks, and have a great day everyone! |

| I'd be more than happy to help in any way I can.....I sent you a direct email. The 1250 is a great plasma cutting system. There probably are many that would be interested in the machine torch that you have. I would post it in the classified area.....if you have the part number and lead length...that will help. For hand torches, you may have to buy a new one, or trade your machine torch toward one. There probably are not a lot of good used ones laying around. You can download the operators manual for your system from the Sponsored Listings website, click on downloads library, and choose Powermax1250 from the drop down menu. You can save it as a .zip or a .pdf file. The manual will provide details for consumables as well as how to use the system. The shielded consumables are the best for hand or machine cutting. Best regards, Jim Colt |
